New Student Move-In
The hive is calling—time to make it official!
Move-In Day is your first big step into Hornet Nation. From the moment you arrive, our campus community will be ready to greet you with open arms (and moving carts!). With music, volunteers, and plenty of photo ops, this day is all about celebration, connection, and getting you settled into your new home away from home.
-
New Student Orientation
Get ready for three days full of energy, insight, and Hornet pride!
Orientation is your full-campus welcome—designed to help you meet fellow students, connect with faculty and staff, and get familiar with university departments and processes before classes begin. Through interactive sessions, tours, and team-based activities, you’ll start building your HSSU community and the confidence to thrive from day one.
-
Welcome Week
The buzz doesn't stop after Move-In—it's just getting started!
Welcome Week is your all-access pass to campus culture. Expect a full lineup of events designed to help you meet new people, explore student orgs, and make unforgettable memories. From game nights and cookouts to kickoff rallies and campus traditions, this is where you start writing your HSSU story—with pride, purpose, and plenty of Hornet energy.
